PMI CapabilitiesFor over eighteen years PMI has been serving medical and industrial x-ray imaging customers: equipment manufacturers, equipment service organizations and replacement parts distributors, research facilities, hospitals and universities. PMI has provided engineering expertise to meet the most rigorous challenges, products to meet the highest quality standards and most exacting delivery schedules, and replacement components to restore service to critically needed equipment.
PMI has produced components for both medical and industrial imaging systems that provide improved image quality and allow for increased throughput with reduced radiation leakage. PMI engineers have over fifteen patents on x-ray source and high voltage component technology with several patents pending. PMI components serve a wide range of applications. Medical applications for the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease include mammography, conventional radiography and fluoroscopy, interventional radiography, computerized tomography and IMRT. Research applications include x-ray diffraction and fluorescence. Industrial and commercial applications include components for x-ray equipment that inspect baggage and cargo, impurities in food and faults in material structures.
